Here is my favorite Chevelle song.
Drumroll, please…
It’s Get Some!
Get Some is from the album, This Type of Thinking, which also has other great songs like Still Running, Vitamin R, The Clincher, Breach Birth, and Another Know It All.
But of course, Get Some is the best song on here. I wish I was more musical so I could explain why. I love everything about this song, but I don’t know the technical names of everything.
I love drums, and I especially love the drumming in this song. The breakdown is awesome. The lyrics are great. It’s fun to put it full blast in my car and sing along to it.
That’s about as technical as I can get.
See if you agree with my very professional assessment by listening to the official audio version of Get Some:
Get Some lyrics:
I tried an idea for no reason
Keep the sun off our shoulders
Crawling back toA blackout
Touching new life
Face down
Set the pace againThe drive the idea still existing
Sat and shuddered broke the pattern
Falling inward
In and down up and outLet it go follow way back
Call it off any day anyway
Make you feel this
A blackoutTouching new life
Face down
Set the pace againDon’t take the fall
We’d hate to see
That’s entertainment
Get someEyes on the goal
Last one to get
Is passed over, looked over
Never rehearseThey’ve spiked the water
It’s in the blood
Get some
We’ve underestimatedHow can I
Get someHow can I
How can I
How can I
Get some
A blackout
Could this be the one
