Face to the Floor is from the 2011 album, Hats Off to the Bull. I have read that this whole album is about the little man rising above and that this song in particular is about Bernie Madoff and the whole scandalous operation he had going with his Ponzi scheme.
In this interview with Loudwire, they said, “It’s for Kevin Bacon.” Poor Kevin was swindled (like so many others) by Bernie.
I’m guessing Kevin recovered just fine.
